Meena and Carter’s wedding was a beautifully intimate celebration of a love story that began in 2019 and grew quickly from the moment they met. From a spontaneous trip to Rocky Mountain National Park to a proposal in the very same place, their journey led to a wedding weekend centered on what mattered most: time with the people they love.
Wanting the day to feel like one of the candlelit dinner parties they host at home, they exchanged vows surrounded by trees before celebrating under string lights and a sailcloth tent. Every detail reflected their story, from custom matchbooks inspired by favorite restaurants and tables named after places they’ve traveled together to handwritten letters waiting at each guest’s seat and cocktail napkins featuring lines from years of saved love notes.
The months leading up to the wedding brought unexpected challenges, including flooding and a fire at their home that had them moving nearly a dozen times. By the time the wedding day arrived, even thunderstorms in the forecast couldn’t shake them. Instead, the experience reminded them to focus on what truly mattered: each other, their loved ones, and creating meaningful memories together. Keeping their guest list intentionally intimate allowed them to spend quality time with every guest, while a relaxed welcome gathering at a local pub set the tone for a warm and joyful weekend.
Some of their favorite moments included a heartfelt ceremony officiated by a close friend, a first dance where Meena’s shoe slipped off mid-song, and celebrating with family and friends through an evening made even more magical by the rain. Looking back, their treasured keepsakes are the nostalgic Super8 films and timeless photographs that captured every emotion. Thanks to an incredible vendor team, especially their videographer and photographer, they now have a collection of memories that feel both cinematic and deeply personal—a beautiful reflection of a day filled with love, resilience, and joy.
